Do I have to wear a
suit?
No. You should
dress in what is comfortable for you. Jeans are ok; a three piece suit is
ok.
Do women in your
church wear makeup and jewelry?
Yes, our women do
wear make-up and jewelry. We seek to build up our people, not traditions,
so casual attire, including blue jeans; make up and jewelry are fine.
I know childcare is
provided, but can my kids stay with me during the service?
Yes, they can stay
with you. Although we do provide an excellent children's church and a
safe environment for them, we know that many kids are more comfortable
with their parents, especially in a new environment. Whatever your choice,
we respect that.
As a visitor, will
I be required to fill out any forms or be asked to stand and introduce
myself to everyone?
When you enter the
church, you should receive a warm greeting and be given the opportunity to
ask questions. You should also be given a visitor's packet, which has
information in it about us, and will have a contact form enclosed. Whether
or not you fill out the contact form is up to you. You will not be
pressured to do so. You will not be asked to stand up in front of
everyone and introduce yourself. Often the Pastor will recognize that
there are visitors in the crowd, but you will not be singled out.
Do you have
Handicapped facilities?
Yes. Handicapped
parking is available at the right front side, and at the left rear side of
the church. All of our restrooms are accessible. If you need any
special assistance, call or email ahead of time, or just pull up to the
front door and someone will be there to assist you.
I am new to this
Christian stuff. I just do not understand the terminology, or what I read
in the Bible. Will I be accepted here?
Absolutely, you will
be accepted here. Fact is, we don't understand everything either. We offer
Bible study classes, and Sunday School classes for all age groups. These
classes will help you grow in your understanding and knowledge of the
Bible. If you like, talk with a Greeter or an Usher about it, and they
will assist you in finding a good Christian Education class to fit your
needs.
Do you “Speak In
Tongues?”
Yes. The scripture
says, "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my
understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit
and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit
and I will sing with the understanding also" 1 Corinthians 14:14,15
"Wherefore Brothers, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with
tongues." Corinthians 14:39 "But the manifestation of the Spirit is given
to every man to profit withal...To another divers kinds of tongues; to
another the interpretation of tongues" 1 Corinthians 12:7,10. However, we
do not require you to speak in tongues to be a part of our church.
Do
you have Corporate Prayer for Specific Needs?
Yes. Moreover, our
church has prayer every night of the week for specific needs. If you would
like us to pray over a need for you, please use our online prayer request
form.
Do You Anoint With
Oil and Pray For the Sick?
Yes. The scripture
says, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church,
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the
Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick,
and the Lord will raise him up and if has committed sins, they will be
forgiven him." James 5:14,15.
